Now you can learn how to make those beloved sock animals. I’ve been making these sock animals that are loved by children for over fifty years. These classic sock animals will claim the hearts of all who see them. You can purchase a completed animal or you can create your own original sock monkey, or choose the kitty, horse or frog sock animal. All the sock animal sizes are based on the size of the sock.
19″ Large Sock Monkey
This 19" Large Sock Monkey is handmade from the Rockford Red Heel socks. Made from 19" socks and stuffed with polyester non allergenic fiberfill. Child safe hand embroidered face. All the seams are double sewn and hand stitching with heavy button hole thread. Durable, washable and strong enough to withstand any child's love! There are six colors available. I've been making sock animals for over 50 years and loving every one of them. The yellow socks have been discontinued, but I have 2 yellow 19" monkeys in stock. The 19" Brown socks are on back order until February 2026 so I have two 19" Brown Monkeys available.

This pattern will make all three sizes of Sock Monkeys. The 8', the 17" and the 22" Monkey. Some kind of a push tool will be very handy to stuff some of the smaller pieces. I sell a Turn-it-All tool just for that.

Red Heel Socks
19″ Red Heel Large Socks (pair)
American made 19" large socks from Fox River Mills. These are the truly Original Rockford Red Heel socks. The five colors are brown, blue and pink with two new colors: green and red. These socks have been used to make the sock monkeys and other sock animals for years and are very durable. As of 1/1/23, the LARGE YELLOW SOCKS HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED, SO NO 19" YELLOW SOCKS AVAILABLE. I have 0 pair of 19" Brown socks, 34 pair of 19" Blue socks, 47 pair of Pink socks, 43 pair of Red socks and 41 pair of Green socks in stock. The 19" Brown socks are scheduled to be back in stock February 2026
Inside-Out Baskets
A one-of-a-kind gift that’s perfect for any occasion! Our Inside-Out-Baskets are deceptively simple to make and quick to assemble. The basket is constructed and stuffed from the inside, then turned right side out. A small basket can be made from a Fat Quarter (18″ X 22″), the 6″ basket will take 1/2 yard (18″ X 44″) and the large basket will take 5/8 yard of fabric. The baskets are stuffed with polyester fiberfill. You can use the Funky Monkey fabric or any other fabric for you project. You can stuff your basket with gifts for young and old. Makes a great Easter gift or something for the bathroom, kitchen of crafts room.
